Manitoba raises second dose qualified to prescribe COVID-19 vaccine

WINNIPEG – Manitoba has expanded its qualification for prescribing a second dose of the COVID -19 vaccine.

On Wednesday, the province said anyone who received the first dose of vaccination on or before April 20 could now reserve their second dose appointment.

This is while the province is announcing new strategies to encourage residents to get the first dose.

Provincial data shows 62 percent of Manitobans ages 12 and up have been vaccinated by Tuesday.

Manitobans who are eligible to book their second dose appointment can call 1-844-626-8222 or book an appointment. online.
