Examining the mutation to be very dangerous, Long said Vietnam will soon announce it on the world genome map.

According to the ministry, a multi-strain virus was recorded in the 4th wave of the COVID-19 outbreak that hit Vietnam from April 27. The variation in India and the UK is the two most common, with the former being dominates and the latter is only found in Da Nang and other localities.

The discovery of the new breed has pushed the total number of breeds in Vietnam to eight.

Long also said that as previously predicted, the fourth wave of epidemics was very complex, with signs of difficulties in disease control.

This epidemic has spread to more than 30 provinces and cities, and it is strictly controlled by the provinces. In particular, Bac Giang and Bac Ninh are two localities that are prone to have complex developments due to the appearance of infection patterns in industrial zones.

In these two provinces, the number of confirmed cases showed no sign of slowing, mostly in remote and restricted areas. The head of the health sector said that coming here, Bac Giang and Bac Ninh will continue to have infections, and it will take a lot of time to properly prevent the condition.

In fact, recently, Bac Ninh and Bac Giang noticed many cases, although in Bac Giang there were more than 300 cases a day, 176 cases on May 28. The Ministry of Health made changes in epidemic prevention strategy in both provinces. .

According to the Minister of Health, the principle of prevention – detection – isolation – zoning – complete suppression of the epidemic – continues effective treatment. However, in Bac Giang, the Ministry of Health is making changes to prevent the epidemic isolation, testing and treatment.

The country still has to confirm 7,107 infections, while the death toll related to COVID-19 is now at 47.
