Exactly what does your face mask collect after many hours of use? Many medical experts claim that there are no health drawbacks to wearing face masks for long periods of time, as long as you clean them regularly or use a new mask every time you go. mask ka.
But Florida parents, concerned about children wearing masks to school, recently discovered that face masks actually pick up a lot of bacteria, most of which are “dangerous pathogens. “
Gainesville parents sent six newly worn face masks to the University of Florida for laboratory testing. They discovered that face masks collect many bacteria that cause, in many cases, serious illnesses.
Parents want face masks tested “because they are concerned about the potential for contamination with masks that their children are forced to wear all day at school, taken in and taken away, put on. on different surfaces, it is worn in the bathroom, etc.., ”Rational ground explained.
“We need to know what we put on our children’s faces every day. Masks provide a warm, moist environment for bacteria to grow,” said parent Amanda Donoho of Rational Ground .
The tests, conducted by the Mass Spectrometry Research and Education Center at the University of Florida, found that five of the six masks contained multiple bacteria and three of the masks were contaminated with “dangerous bacteria that cause pathogenic and pneumonia.”
The 11 “dangerous pathogens” found in the masks are responsible for the accompanying diseases:
- Meningitis and Sepsis
- Food poisoning from E. coli
- Lyme disease
- Urinary Tract Infections
More from Rational Ground:
Half of the masks are contaminated with one or more types of bacteria that cause pneumonia. One-third are infected with one or more types of bacteria that cause meningitis. One-third are contaminated with hazardous, antibiotic-resistant antibiotics. In addition, dangerous pathogens are unknown, along with pathogens that can cause fever, ulcers, acne, yeast infections, strep throat, periodontal disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and more.
Tested masks are fresh or freshly washed. It is worn by children ages 6-11 who attend their own school, while one is worn by an adult. Undressed masks and a T-shirt worn by one of the children were used as controls.- READ MORE
