San Jose’s new gun control will hurt minorities, warns Latino Rifle Association founder PB Gomez.
San Jose City Council responded to the May 26 shooting, Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) by passing multiple gun controls, Breitbart News reports. The VTA attacker used handguns that are “legally” acquired and “registered” in compliance with California law.
The city council passed new rules against buying straw and a requirement that licensees who sell video guns all sell guns, the San Jose Spotlight noticed.
The town council’s gun control response also includes the required safety net for gun owners and fees to be imposed on gun ownership, NBC Bay Area reports.
San Jose police clarified that “they don’t knock on people and ask to register for firearms. However, if the police find a firearm in a search, they will ask to see insurance papers, ”KQED appointed.
Gomez of the Latino Rifle Associations is concerned that the San Jose police approach to enforcing insurance will affect the poor and people of most colors, suggesting they can be easily contacted by police. – READ MORE
