The Department of Justice (DOJ) has dismissed five charges against five visiting Chinese scientists accused of lying to the extent of their involvement in the Chinese military.
The scientists included California biomedical and cancer researchers and a doctoral candidate studying artificial intelligence in Indiana, whose various charges, including visa fraud, were dropped by prosecutors, according to the brief submission. in court on Thursday and Friday.
