Telangana (Hyderabad) [India], May 31 (ANI): The Telangana government on Sunday decided to extend the state’s ongoing lockdown, which will end on May 31, for another 10 days.
The decision was taken at the state cabinet meeting on Sunday in Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad chaired by Prime Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
“The Cabinet meeting ended to continue the lockdown in Telangana for 10 days as well and the daily rest was extended from 6 am to 1 pm. It was also approved for a limited resumption of activity in economy. The standards will be provided immediately, “tweeted Telangana KTR Minister.
“The state cabinet has decided to extend the ongoing lockdown for another ten days from May 31. As part of this, the cabinet has decided that a relaxation period should be granted from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. to those who come out during the relaxation time to come.back homes, an hour grace period until 2 pm is provided.From 2 pm to 6 am the next morning, the lockdown will be strictly enforced , “the Cabinet ruled.
The cabinet directed that the Secretary of State Health along with Medical and Health officials should visit places like Madhira, Satthupalli, Alampur, Gadwal, Narayanpet, Maktal, Nagarjuna Sagar, Kodad, Huzurabad where COVID has spread further. and is within state borders until the situation is reviewed and necessary steps are taken.
It also instructed stakeholders to be vigilant in following reports of a possible third wave and to prepare appropriate action plans. The cabinet also directed the Department of Medical and Health to check the existing situation in all areas, districts and other hospitals and take measures for the infrastructure and facilities needed there.
The cabinet also decided to vaccinate students who go abroad for higher study on a priority basis in accordance with their letters of acceptance. The cabinet directed the Medical and Health department to prepare instructions in this regard. (ANI)
