Abu Dhabi home quarantine rules; everything you need to know

Home quarantine rules for vaccinated Abu Dhabi residents are different from those who have not received the vaccine, authorities reminded the public on Saturday.

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, in cooperation with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center, issued a reminder of home quarantine instructions for those with contact with a positive case.

Vaccinated individuals must spend five days in quarantine. They should take a PCR test on the fourth day, and may have the pulse removed on the fifth day if they receive a poor test result.

Those not yet converted were ordered to be quarantined for 10 days. They should take a PCR test on day eight, and may have the pulse removed on day 10 if they receive a negative test result.

Everyone who registers for home quarantine can take a free walk-in PCR test and remove the pulse at the Mina Zayed Center, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Convention Center and Al Dhafra Hospital.

The committee also urged all community members who suspect they have had contact with an infected individual to isolate themselves to protect the health and safety of their family members.
