Victoria’s Secret offers supermodel angels, replacing them with ‘women famous for their accomplishments’ including Megan Rapinoe – True Pundit

The New York Times reports that Victoria’s Secret is now represented by a group called the VS Collective, made up of “women who are famous for their accomplishments and not for their proportions.”

In addition to Rapinoe, the collective includes 17-year-old Chinese American freestyle skier Eileen Gu, size 14 model “and inclusivity advocacy” Paloma Elsessor, Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Brazilian trans model Valentino Sampaio, model and South Sudanese refugee Adut Akech, and Amanda de Cadenet, “the photographer and founder of #Girlgaze, the digital platform for female photographers.”

Martin Waters, former head of international business at Victoria’s Secret and the new CEO in February, explained to The Times of the company’s rebranding, “If the world changes, we’re too slow to respond. We have to stop. part of what men want and can be part of what women want. ”
