The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has seized a “fully constructed U.S. Capitol Lego set” from the home of a man facing charges related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, according to a court files last week.
The video shows him in the front line of rioters pushing past police guarding the Capitol, organizing a “defense wall” to attack officers in the Lower West Terrace tunnel and subsequently infiltrating the building through the broken window, according to the FBI.
On one occasion, Mr. Morss was seen taking an officer’s baton and attempting to tear it apart, according to an affidavit.
He was also seen reaching into the crowd and taking over a fence held by the police to turn the crowd around and then ripping the fence out of the hands of an officer with the help of other rioters. He was seen retreating several people using the fence, according to the FBI.
on court documents submitted on July 2, as the Department of Justice pushed for Morss to be incarcerated until trial, the federal government said:
At the time of his arrest, law enforcement found some clothes and other items that appeared to match the ones he had brought on the 6th – including a “Don’t Tread on Me” flag, a neck gaiter, a military -friendly bag, a black suit, and military fatigue. (Law enforcement also recovered a fully constructed U.S. Capitol Lego set.) In addition, the MORSS has three different weapons including a handgun, shotgun, and a rifle.
