House Democrats on Tuesday blocked a GOP bill requiring the Director of National Intelligence to declare information related to the U.S. government’s investigations into the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic – and more importantly, what role the Wuhan Institute of Virology in the outbreak.
The research was defeated in the House by a vote of 216 – 207.

The COVID-19 Basic Law indicated in the Senate by Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Mike Braun (R-IN), and passed jointly in May, according to MUNICIPAL. Afterwards, it was taken to the floor of the House of Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) with Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) and Darin LaHood (R-IL).
“The best disinfectant is sunlight and that’s what we can use right now,” Wenstrup said. “Research first establishes that we need to know the exact origin of COVID-19 because it is important to prevent a similar pandemic in the future.”
“I’m not stressed enough that this bill isn’t controversial in any way, ”He continued. “In fact, it passed the Senate in May with unanimous approval – not a single senator objected. Not Senator Ted Cruz or Rand Paul, not Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren. If four members could ride this instruction, wouldn’t we be able to do the same? ”
I joined @RepBradWenstrup to request that legislation be considered to declare intelligence related to COVID -19 of origin and hold China accountable – a bill unanimously passed by the Senate. Meanwhile, Beijing has decided not to cooperate with the second WHO-supported investigation into the origins of COVID-19, which has hampered the NGO’s plans to conduct a second, more credible, investigation.
At a press conference on Thursday, Zeng Yixin, deputy head of China’s National Health Commission, said Beijing would not cooperate in the investigation. However, the refusal to cooperate is unlikely to help China’s case in the West, as it attempts to convince Americans and Europeans that COVID is not the result of a carefree lab chase.
Zeng said he was “surprised” to see the lab leak theory research, which was initially dismissed by the WHO as completely impossible, included as a reason for a second anticipated visit by a WHO team to Wuhan.
“In some respects, the WHO’s plan for the next phase of investigating the origin of the coronavirus does not respect common sense, and it is against science. It is impossible for us to accept such a plan,” he said. .
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told the White House press corp in reporting Thursday that Bejing’s refusal to cooperate in investigating the origin of COVID was “dangerous.”
