“Naa na nimo violent crime off the charts, ”Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert told The Epoch Times. “You have this tsunami of things happening. Violent crime, illegal guns, rampant theft.”
On July 21 at The Angels, when asked if state policies make crime more serious, Newsom denied that the state has seen an increase in crime.
“The evidence doesn’t support this. In the last three decades, we’ve really seen a significant reduction in crime in the state,” he said.
According to a Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) released in 2021, four major cities in the state are facing an increase in homicide and car theft. Los Angeles, Oakland, San Diego, ug San Francisco experienced such massive crime, following the drop in violent crime in March 2020 where the COVID-19 pandemic began. – READ MORE
